While ‘Crooked’ is a theme around here, we’ll tell it to you straight. Our venue will take your breath away right before it helps you breathe easier. Your wedding, held on our estate, combined with our passion for sharing it with others, will be something you will never forget! We strive to put your worries and pressures at bay on this enchanted farm. This 200+ acres estate is a picturesque setting to experience your special day. The power and magnetism of the river delights the eye and pulls you in while the forest and glades make the outside world fall away.
The heart of Crooked River is the circa-1823 Ohio Grist Mill that serves as the reception location. 12 x 12 oak beams and majestic lighting create a rustic yet elegant ambiance. An 1899 renovated tobacco "honeymoon" barn provides the bridal party a place to relax and prepare for the wedding and our "Royal Romance" package includes accommodations for the wedding couple in the romantic honeymoon suite. Choose your ceremony site either down by the Seventh Shoal with the flow of the river caressing your wedding vows or over in The Grove with the tall white oaks for a backdrop. What They’re Saying About Us
We did a lot of research into picking the perfect venue. Not only was this far beyond what we expected in person; the owners David and Annette were absolutely perfect and helped us throughout the whole process. The on-site honeymoon suite was so nice to have since you and your partner can prepare your nuptials with comfort and style. Every view of the property was striking!
Ps: Thank you David and Annette for making this day the most special day of our lives. You truly created a masterpiece here!
The lodge at Crooked River is an outdoor paradise! Our wedding took place this past October and the scenery simply cannot be matched. The lodge and barn sit perfectly in a valley with 360 degree mountain views! This time of year the forest is full of autumn lush. We were able to create such a warm and rustic wedding with the help of Dave and Annette. Pictures will not give this place justice, it is a must see in person!
I loved LOVED my wedding that took place this October! The rolling mountain views with the fall back drop was unlike any other. I would definitely recommend visiting this venue in person and meeting the owners-- when we first arrived it took our breath away. Annette helped coordinate when we could meet at the venue and was helpful from start to finish. She was able to answer all my questions and her experience helped my planning move along with ease. I am from Charlottesville, VA and the owners were able to recommend vendors to work with since I was not local to the area-- All of which were great! It did rain the day of our wedding so the ceremony was moved inside the lodge- the beautiful stone fireplace was lit and it made the setting so romantic. This venue is a must!
What an absolutely beautiful place to get married!! Even the drive to the venue is amazing, such a breathtaking country setting. The pictures are drop dead gorgeous but even then they don't do it justice. There simply isn't a bad view in sight, from the outside areas, to the barn, to the lodge, all stunning. The owners bent over backwards to help their guests which doesn't happen at all wedding venues; you can tell they really care. They are very flexible and were able to make last minute weather changes from an outdoor wedding to an indoor wedding without seeming stressed out. I 100% suggest for anyone to get married here!
